All of our divisions from MM's to Cadets are 11 man tackle football,
learn football in the same platform as you will be playing in High School.
RT(Rookie Tackle) is 8 man tackle football.
Alaska South Central Pop Warner is actively involved in HEADS UP Football in
cooperation with USA FOOTBALL and the NFL to ensure the safety and
well being of the participants. We care about the kids and strive to
give them a fun and safe environment in which to participate.
We teach correct tackling, more conditioning and proper blocking techniques to reduce the chance
of injuries. We also use the best football gear available, like Riddell, Schutt, Rawlings.
One reason we have the fewest injuries of any league is the requirement that
ALL players must complete 10 hours of NON padded/NON contact conditioning BEFORE
they can receive their football gear and start tackling,blocking etc. This is a key element
to our safety record which is far lower than any other football league in the state.
Our coaches undergo a complete online training and certification course
as well as live coaching clinics before season. Most of our coaches
have been with the program for years, some up to 26
years in the same association! We are dedicated to the players futures and well being.

All our head coaches and assistant head coaches must complete a
thorough coaching certification program and all Pop Warner Volunteers
have to pass a mandatory background check prior to being accepted into our program.
ALL Pop Warner Coaches are USA HEADS UP and SAFESPORT certified.
